Tera Byssta was a miralukan Jedi Knight and then a Templar of Twilight, as well as one of the founding members of the Templars of Twilight, The Founding Seven. She was not especially strong in either lightsaber combat or the force, but she was an absolute genius intellectually, able to do even the most complex mathematical equations in her head. During the early years of the Templars, she was the chief engineer of all the construction that they did upon the inside of Dragon Head Mountain in order to construct the Temple of Twilight. She was accredited with the design of the Astral Ion Drive which would later go to propel every Templar ship for centuries.

She died peacefully in her bed of a heart attack in 48 BBY at the age of 110.
