Gehenna was a star system with an unusual collection of Large Ice Asteroids and Mineral Rich Asteroids inside an Ice Vapor Nebulae. It was unsafe to travel the system at faster than 20mglt without heavy particle shielding. The Remsian Republic had a research base named Gehenna after the Star. The Base was 5 kilometers tall and nearly twice wide. The station's docks could house a ship up to a Templar-class Star Destroyer in size but normally it kept small fighters and shuttles that were used for research. The system's star was a small White Dwarf named Gehenna Major, and the only existing main planetary body is Gehenna Minor, which houses a Research and Mining Colony.

The Star System, because of its natural defenses, is the primary storage location for Resources mined by the Remsian Republic. With the Star having already collapsed there is no likely hood of a supernova to jeopardize the operation. By 120 ABY the Republic had installed Tyr-type Turbolaser Batteries on several asteroids in the system, acting as a defense net. While the station itself was defended by several X-90 Shield Generators and numerous Dragon Mail Shielding emplacements on sensitive areas. It was armed with a total of 40 Tyr-type Turbolasers, 40 WASP Missile launchers and 20 NOVA Missile launchers, each with dozens of missiles at their disposal.
