The Gaiden-II Repeating Blaster was an upgraded version of the PT-1 Heavy Blaster Pistol and could be used as a substitute for the PT-1 as a sidearm.
Background[]
Slightly larger then PT-1 it was based on the Gaiden-II was the equivalent of older Slugthrowers classified as Sub-Machine Gun. Utilizing a larger powerpack and an integrated scope the Gaiden had a larger ammo capacity and longer range then the PT-1 but featured a slower firing rate. The slower rate was the result of the power of the weapon, any higher, and it would overheat and potentially melt the barrel. At 120 rounds per minute however and with a capacity of 240 bolts it could operate for 2 full minutes.
