The Type-711 Sniper Rifle was a high powered gauss rifle designed and produced by the Mikaru Corporation. It was comparable in power to the sniper attachment of the DC-17m. At 50 rounds per clip it was capable of long endured operation. It could fire in two modes, Semi-Automatic and 3 round burst. The 3 round burst was more for dealing heavy damage over a precise kill. It fired hardened 4mm slugs at high velocities that caused excessive damage to soft targets. The weapon utilized a 9.5x40mm High-Powered Semi-Armor-Piercing High-Explosive round that was designed to detonate on impact with its target. Due to the speed of the rounds this meant that the rounds detonated inside the target, causing massive internal damage and normally instant death.
