The Lsu-type Ground/Cloud car was a light multi-purpose airspeeder used by the Echani in civilian and military markets. A combination of Groundcar and Cloud car designs it was at home in the air and on the ground. A repulsor lift and two light ion engines propelled the care in the air while three wheels provided locomotion for the vehicle on the ground. The wheels also acted as landing gear while landing the craft.
Not meant for heavy combat it featured a light hull comprised of thin Alusteel. Its shields were designed to mostly deal with high velocity insect impacts and couldn't withstand much in the way of attack. Offensively the craft featured a repeating blaster that while powerful only had average range and accuracy. The light defenses and armament made it a perfect law enforcement craft for various organizations.
Like some airspeeders the Lsu was capable of operating in the vacuum of space, however it was not well suited to reach escape velocities. It generally took a Lsu three times what it took a normal airspeeder such as the T-16 requiring a longer flatter flight ark to break atmosphere. Once in space its maneuverability greatly increased but its top speed was average at best. Regardless of this the Lsu was very popular by small groups and was the standard airspeeder of the Echani Protectors
