The Alloy, Durasteel-Titanium-A (called DTA for short) was a combination of, on a molecular level, two Titanium atoms with one durasteel. The alloy lost non of the strength of standard Durasteel but gained some of Titaniums lightness, weight 10% less than standard Durasteel. If you created a block of Durasteel-Titanium-A the same size as a 100kilogram block of Durasteel, the DTA would only weight 90 kilograms. DTA allowed for lighter vehicles to be made, as well as lighter armor, and in the case of ships, more armor to be applied.
