Derak Ja'huni was a Zabrak Jedi and then a Twilight Templar who was one of the seven founding members of the Templars of Twilight, The Founding Seven. An exemplary lightsaber duelist, he wielded two blue lightsabers with highly elaborate hilts that were worth tens of thousands of credits each. He was very kind, but also very brash and quick witted. Dedicating himself to many different forms of lightsaber combat, he had mastered five of the seven main forms. The only templar who ever mastered more forms than he did was Greyst Denali.

Derak Ja'huni had an extremely long life for his species, thanks both to a very healthy lifestyle and a strong connection to the force. He finally died of old age in 36aby, at the age of 206.
